2 ReVive Acne Relief Devices: Are They Worth It?
I would really love to recommend the ReVive Acne Relief devices below, but I just can’t.
Look, I’m a consumer, too. I know what I need to trust a vendor, and a return policy on a technology I’ve never tried before is important to me.
Yes, these are good acne lights with the specifications I want to see. They have a good design, and do the entire face at one time. The light I do recommend is much smaller, something I’d like to see improved.
The problem with the LED Technologies acne lights is that there is simply no return policy on these devices.
It’s not that they’re not warranted, they are. If it’s broken, you can get a free exchange.
But what if you just don’t agree it’s the right therapy for you, or you’re not happy with the build quality for the money you spent?
You can’t return these, which is the only reason I recommend against buying them.

Device | LED Technologies DPL IIa |
Device Type | Bifold Panel |
Wavelengths | Infrared, Red, Blue |
Features |
|
Power | Corded, not portable |
Benefits |
|
Treatment Schedule | 3 minutes |
Returns | Return in 30 days only if unopened |
What I Like | If it weren’t for the return policy, this would be the perfect acne relief lamp.
The wavelengths are exactly what you want to reduce nodules, cysts, blackheads, whiteheads, pustules, and papules; not to mention wrinkles, redness, scars, and excess pigmentation. The three-minute treatment time indicates that this is a powerful device. Amber is indicated for rosacea, based on a couple of studies. |
What I Would Improve | The return policy is that there is no return policy. LED Technologies only allows returns on unopened boxes. This appears to be because they cannot resell a returned unit. While I obviously cannot promise you’ll get results, buying this device is a risk that I would take for acne therapy. The power and wavelengths are spot on, so you should see results. |

Benefits |
|
Treatment Schedule | 3 minutes up to 7x/week |
Returns | Return in 30 days only if unopened |
What I Like | The Acne Professional Clinical XL is a powerful handheld with a decent treatment area for this type of design.
The 3-minute treatment period indicates that it’s a powerful device, comparable to devices that cost $1500. In the in-house study of LED posts on their site, the results are impressive when comparing before and after photos. These clients achieved these gains in 2 weeks. I can’t make promises, but this looks like a great acne-relief light. |
What I Would Improve | There is no return policy except for unopened products returned in 30 days.
A 4-inch diameter treatment area is good for a handheld, but it means you need to move the lamp around to reach all areas requiring attention. |
