LED count is a proxy for how much light you get per session.

If you have an unreliable irradiance value, and don’t have fluence, you can use LED count to guestimate how much light the device gives out.

Use red or infrared alone to customize treatment protocols.

The Best Treatment Area Size

A larger treatment area spreads the light to more of your body.

The treatment area size is the bulb area’s height x width and so is expressed in square inches.

It’s an indication of how much area emits light on a device.

This measurement is helpful but not as accurate as fluence in determining your dose.

The treatment area size makes sense only in the context of holding the device against the skin. As you increase distance, the light spreads away from the target, increasing the treatment size but with fewer photons per square inch reaching the desired destination.
