How to Use the PDT Photons
- Note the time of day. Some people are affected by light at night. If you’re worried about insomnia, use the Novaa Glow in the morning or afternoon.
- Clean the skin. Use light therapy before adding lotions and makeup.
- Place the pad in the stand to create a dome shape.
- Choose the colors to use:
- Yellow light reduces redness and evens out skin tone. It helps reduce excess pigmentation.
- Blue light kills germs (including P. acnes bacteria) and fights bacterial issues.
- Red increases collagen, oxygenation, and cell turnover to give you a plump glow.
- Infrared stimulates elastin, which tightens your skin and reduces pore size.
- Combine blue, red, and infrared for the strongest acne and eczema therapy.
- Combine yellow, red, and infrared for the strongest wrinkle and sagging skin therapy.
- The PDT Photons will automatically shut off when the session is done.

Our Take
If you're dreaming of getting the Celluma but want a much cheaper option, the Hydraskincare PDT Photons is an amazing choice.
The red and infrared wavelengths allow the body to produce more collagen and elastin. These plump up the skin and tighten loose areas.
Blue kills the P acnes bacteria, reduces excess oil, and restores healthy energy production to reduce acne and eczema problems.
Yellow light reduces dullness to create a nice, bright complexion. It also enhances the anti-inflammatory and red-quieting activity of red and infrared light.
The only light more powerful than the Hydraskincare PDT is the Visum Light. The PDT covers a wide area, saving time using the handheld Visum Light.
The PDT is also suitable for pain relief. It can be placed on or over any body part for anti-inflammatory and pain relief effects.

So the photons is superior to the celluma?
Hi Kimberly! Celluma gives excellent results (wrinkles and acne) and high-end construction. But it doesn’t have the wavelengths that Hydraskincare photons has. So yes, it’s superior in an important factor. Red and infrared do most of the heavy lifting. Blue is a powerhouse addition to acne and eczema therapy. Yellow soothes red or dull skin.
