The LightpathLED Pro Large is a multi-wavelength but non-pulsing choice for exercise recovery, skin health and pain relief. It’s a superior basic panel for when you’re not interested in the extra “oomph” possible with pulsation options. The Pro has more wavelength options than any other panel I reocmmend.

Quickly learn everything you need to know about this red light therapy panel in this LightpathLED Pro Large review.

Who Should Use the LightpathLED Pro Large (Primary Goals)

Person holding hands with red mark indicating pain
Use this panel for pain relief

The Pro Large is for the chronically ill, for those with constant pain, lingering inflammation and would like some solid wrinkle reduction during therapy. T

he Pro is perfect for athletes seeking fast recovery, and biohackers getting started with red light therapy.

Wrinkles are optional
Use this panel to replace wrinkles with collagen (and elastin)

The wavelengths in this panel run the range from lower red to upper near infrared to maximize absorption options. The design increases the probability of reducing inflammation, producing natural pain reduction, and smoothing the skin.

The Pro gets more biological energy factories (mitochondria) back into production. This empowers the cells to repair damage and rebuild tissue. It gives energy to skin, muscles, and the brain.

As the energy multiplies, so does the blood vessel dilation. More blood flows as the Pro detaches nitric oxide from the mitochondria to widen the arteries. The blood now brings nutrition and oxygen to damaged tissue for more repair and rebuilding.

Large rectangular metal device with fansUse the LightpathLED Pro Large for these primary goals:

LightpathLED Pro Large is Ideal for: Because its wavelengths:
quicker exercise recovery reduces inflammation
pain relief these wavelengths have an analgesic effect, and reducing inflammation should reduce pain
arthritis relief Multiple studies on osteoarthritis of the knee show that these wavelengths reduce knee pain. That would apply to any type of osteoarthritis.
reduced inflammation Chronic inflammation happens when the body does not know to shut off the immune response. Red light therapy appears to signal to the body that an overactive immunity is undesired, and inflammation calms down.
tendinitis relief The wrap’s wavelengths were shown in studies to reduce the discomfort of tendinitis. Researchers theorize that the inflammation reduction is part of it, but there is also evidence of tissue repair from the red light therapy.
cellulite and wrinkle reduction The red wavelength is a popular one in the studies for reducing the skin issues common with aging, including cellulite and wrinkles. Red stimulates collagen and elastic, which plump up and tighten the skin.
testosterone stimulation There’s not as much science on testosterone increases using red light therapy as there is for other goals. What there is, however points to the wavelengths in this device’s range as bioactive for testosterone stimulation.

Who Should Use the LightpathLED Pro Large (Secondary Goals)

Secondary goals are those for which the wavelengths are appropriate, but the device might not be ideal. For example, a hat with red light is ideal for hair growth.

Less pain = more smiles

The hat fits the lights to the head, leaving no room to lose photon energy. A hat is portable, and wavelengths in the red range are good for hair growth.

A panel might have the same wavelengths as a hair growth hat, but does not fit on the head. Therefore, “hair growth” is a secondary goal for a panel. As long as you have the panel, it might work for this goal.

LightpathLED’s wavelengths also support these goals However the idea device type for this therapy is:
Alzheimers, Parkinson’s, Mild Cognitive Impairment symptom reduction a headset, a helmet or an intranasal light with 10 Hz and 40 Hz pulsation
belly fat reduction a neoprene pad
acne reduction a red light therapy device with red, infrared and blue wavelengths
hair growth a helmet or hat

Where to Put the Pro Large

Put the Pro on the floor, the door, the wall or a stand. Use a picture frame anchor to hang it on the wall. Use the Horizontal stand to use the Pro lying down. Use the Vertical stand to use the Pro standing up. The stands allow you to wheel the red light therapy panel out of the way and back into use.

Pro Large Panel Wavelengths

The Pro gives you 620 nm and 660 nm red wavelengths, which relieve skin issues such as wrinkles and redness. If you add blue light, the Pro becomes an ideal acne therapy light.

The Pro’s 810 nm, 850 nm and 930 nm infrared wavelengths spread across the absorbable range to ensure more photons trigger energy and healing. The infrared light reduces inflammation, quiets arthritis pain, and helps with wrinkles and redness.

Protection from Unwanted Artifacts and Brightness

The LightpathLED Pro Large has no unwanted electromagnetic fields (EMFs) at 6 inches distance. The Pro is very bright, so you will probably want to wear the goggles.

Stacking and Connecting Modular Red Light Therapy Panels

You can connect multiple Pro panels together to daisy chain their electric power, and then put only one plug into the wall.

The LightpathLED Pro Large is modular, meaning it connects to other Pro red light therapy devices. The company sells the Pro as a single panel, as a Dual Combo (two panels) and as a Quad Combo (four panels). The Dual and Quad come with a modular stand.

Red Light Therapy Panel Comparisons

You have a few good choices for red light therapy panels. The obvious alternative to the LightpathLED Pro Large is the Mito Red Light MitoPRO 1500. You can also look at the Bestqool Y-200Opens in a new tab. panel as a solid if basic alternative.

The Mito Red Light MitoPRO 1500 has 630 nm and 660 nm red wavelengths, and 830 nm and 850 nm infrared wavelengths. This is functionally equivalent to the LightpathLED’s first four wavelengths. The LightpathLED adds the 930 nm wavelength, which adds another layer of absorption to the therapy. This means more results from each session.

Bestqool Y-200 red light therapy panel

The Bestqool Y-200 has 660 nm red and 860 nm infrared wavelengths. The LightpathLED Pro Large has two red and three infrared wavelengths. They output similar bioactive qualities, except the LightpathLED also outputs the 930 nm, which probably has unique pathways compared to the lower red and infrared wavelengths. Being a dense wavelength, the 930 nm goes deeper into the body.

The Bestqool Y-200 is 36 inches high which compares with the LightpathLED Pro Large. The Bestqool is 8 inches wide, while the LightpathLED is 10 inches wide.

The Bestqool is has 200 bulbs, while the LightpathLED has 216.

You cannot daisy chain multiple Bestqool Y-200 panels, but you can do that with the LightpathLED.

The Bestqool treatment time is 15-30 minutes. This implies the device is less powerful than stated. The LightpathLED treatment time is 15 minutes.

Bestqool offers a 30-day return window. Returns incur a 25% restocking fee. LightpathLED has a 60-day window and no fee.

Pros and Cons of the LightpathLED Pro Large

The only con of the Pro Large is that it does not have pulsation, a technology that amplifies your gains. But it’s the difference between “excellent” and “very excellent” results. Pulsation is not necessary to get firmer skin, reduced inflammation and pan reduction from the LightpathLED Pro.

The Pro Large is a solid choice for biohackers, wellness seekers, chronic illness patients and those needing pain reduction and inflammation reduction.

LightpathLED purchases come with free consultation with Scott Kennedy, light therapy expert and all-around great guy. He will not let you fail with your new light.

LightpathLED Returns and Warranties

LightpathLED has a 100% refund with no-questions-asked return policy, making it easy to try the Pro Large panel without risk. You have 60 days to return the panel for a full refund. Use the panel light for 50 days and then decide whether it has helped you. There is no restocking fee, and the panel has a 3-year warranty.

Conclusion

The LightpathLED Pro Large is a solid panel with five wavelengths for greater absorption, but no pulsation. That lowers the price compared to the LightpathLED Pulse panel, while still delivering therapeutic photon energy to half the body at a time.
